Project history: Former French 2nd class avisos of Friponne class representing specialised ASW ships. They were bought by Romania 9.1.1920.

Modernizations: 1939-1940, all: - 2 x 1 - 100/45; + 2 x 1 - 37/80 SK C/30.

1939-1940, Locotenent Lepri Remus: + mines

1942-1943, all survived: + 1 x 1 - 20/65 C/38

early 1944, all survived: - 1 x 1 - 37/80; + 1 x 1 - 88/42 SK C/30

Naval service: Locotenent Lepri Remus 11.10.1941 was mined and lost off Sulina. Căpitan Dumitrescu, Locotenenet Commander Stihi Eugen and Sublocotenent Ghiculescu 5.9.1944 were captured by Soviet troops at Constanza and 14.9.1944 commissioned by Soviet Navy as Arax, Akhtuba and Angara. Akhtuba and Angara 14.10.1945 were returned to Romania as Eugen Stihi and Ion Ghiculescu. In 1960 both were converted to survey / command vessels with returning of former names Eugen Stihi and Ion Ghiculescu and discarded finally only in 2002.
