Project history: River stern-wheeled gunboat with steel hull for service on Zambesi. She was built in Britain and assembled from sections and launched at Chinde (Mozambique) in 1920.

Modernizations: None.

Naval service: Téte was stricken only in 1975, after granting independence to Mozambique.
