Project history: Very similar to British River class destroyers. They were built in Britain by Yarrow and assembled from ready sections at Lisbon. Lead ship on trials has shown 30.3kts.

Modernizations: None.

Naval service: Vouga was wrecked 1.5.1931. To the WWII beginning Tâmega was considered become outdated and was used mainly as training ship and was stricken right after the war.
