Project history: Former patrols of Vodorez class, built for Imperial Russian Navy (5 ships in the class), after revolution in 1917 incomplete hulls were captured by Finnish troops and completed for Finnish Navy as Turunmaa (ex-Vodorez) and Karjala (ex-Lun). In 1921 they were bought by Poland.
Modernizations: 1925, both: - 4 x 1 - 47/40; + 2 x 1 - 75/35 M1915-18

Naval service: Generał Haller was sunk 6.9.1939 at Hel naval base by German aircraft.
Komendant Piłsudski was scuttled by crew 30.9.1939 at Hel naval base. She was salvaged by Germans and commissioned by them as Heisternest. In 1943 she was renamed M3109 and 16.9.1944 sunk at Nantes by Allied aircraft.
