Project history: British 'Battle' class destroyers, modernized and refitted with US MDAP funds. Badr was handed over by Pakistan Navy 24.1.1957, and Khaibar 1.2.1957.
Modernizations: 1970s, Badr: - 2 x 2 - 40/60 STAAG, 1 x 1 - 40/60, 1 x 4 - 533 TT, type 262, 2x type 282, type 291 radars, type 144Q, type 147B sonars; + type 975, SNW-10 radars, type 170, type 174 sonars
Naval service: Khaibar was sunk 5.12.1971 off Karachi by Indian missile FAC of Project 205. Badr became HQ ship of the new Maritime Safety Agency in 1985.
