Project history: Former RN light cruiser Diadem of Bellona class, refitted after acquiring, armament (old consisted of 4 x 2 - 133/50 Mk 2, 3 x 4 - 40/39 Mk 7, 8 x 2 - 20/70 Mk 5, 6 x 1 - 20/70 Mk 7, 2 x 3 - 533 TT) was modernized. Radars were also partially replaced by new models. Commissioned under Pakistan flag 5.7.1957.

Protection: Belt protected about 60% of ship length, its thickness decreased to 102mm at upper edge, belt was covered by 51mm main deck. Ship ends were protected by 31mm belt and 37mm deck.

Modernizations: None.

Naval service: In 1961 Babur became a TS.
