Project history: Purpose-built standard Admiralty design. Intended for patrol, ASW and minesweeping roles. The non-standard units varied between 194 and 237BRT, dimensions (pp) varied between 35.1 and 37.3m length and 6.71 and 6.86m beam. Delivery of the first standard ship, George Borthwick, occured in August 1917.
