Project history: Ordered in 2004 within Protector programme. Built under merchant standards as modified Dutch-built Ben My Chree ro-ro vessel, military alterations include a flight deck and helicopter hangar and ability to carry two 23m LCMs, two 11m and two 7.4m RIBs for boarding. Ice-strengthened, has two 60t cranes. Side and stern doors. Can be used for training or disaster response duties.
Modernizations: None.
Naval service: No significant events.
