Project history: Rather successful ship of double assignment: minelayer and escort; in a peace time she was used as a fishery protection vessel. Nautilus has served as a prototype for a number of subsequent projects. She differed by good seaworthiness, however had no covered mine deck. In a role of escort she was appeared ineffective because of weakness of antiaircraft armament.

Modernizations: 1940: + 2 x 1 - 40/39 QF Mk VIII

Naval service: Nautilus was sunk 22.5.1941 as result of collision with British s/s Murrayfield at E coasts of England.
