Project history: Gouvernementsmarine ships intended for service in East Indies.

Modernizations: None.

Naval service: Arend was scuttled at Tadjong Priok 1.3.1942, salvaged by Japanese, commissioned by IJN as patrol No108, returned in 1945 and finally sunk as a target in 1948. Valk was scuttled at Tjilatjap 8.3.1942, salvaged by Japanese, commissioned by IJN as patrol No104 and mined off Maizuru 24.8.1945.
