Project history: A low freeboard monitor with an amidships superstructure, the 21cm gun in a turret forward and the 17cm aft in a shield.

Ship protection: Armoured 120-100mm belt protected full ship length and was closed by 75-50mm deck. Turret had 280mm sides.

Modernizations: None.

Naval service: No significant events.
