Project history: Designed in Yugoslavia on the basis of Soviet project 1159. Ships have mixed Soviet/Western machinery, Soviet armament and mixed electronics. Planned triple 324mm ILAS3 TT for Italian A244 torpedoes were never installed.

Naval service: No significant events.
