Project history: Former US 64ft Distribution Box (L-type) Boat class. Were built to set and recover mine distribution boxes for controlled minefields but later used as general-purpose tenders and patrol boats. Had a 2.5-ton crane forward, replaced under Mexican flag by a machinegun.
