Project history: Loire-Simonot designed submarines. Double-hulled, TTs were arranged traditionally for French designs: 2 fixed tubes were installed in the bow of pressure hull and two twin mounts were installed in the superstructure and closed by folding shields. Turnable TTs can be reloaded only in the base.

Modernizations: None.

Naval service: 13/87/1940 both submarines were incorporated into Soviet Navy under former names.
