Project history: Vickers L(1) type. Built in Japan under Vickers drawings under 1917 programme and were structurally similar to British submarines of L type. Order on their building has been concluded in late 1917, however they have commissioned very late after war. Double-hulled.

Modernizations: None.

Naval service: 26-go was sunk 29.10.1923 in cause of human error, salvaged 17.11.1923 and repaired.
