Project history: Former Russian Pallada, captured 2.1.1905 at Port Arthur. She was repaired and commissioned in May, 1910.

Ship protection: 51mm deck had 76mm slopes, funnel uptakes were protected by 64mm armour. Hoists to 152mm guns had 38mm protection.

Modernizations: 3.1913: + 2 x 1 - 152/50 41-shiki

1920: - 2 x 1 - 152/50, 1 x 1 - 152/45, 12 x 1 - 76/40; + stowage for 300 mines

Naval service: In days of the First World War Tsugaru served as TS, in 1920 she was converted to minelayer. In 1922 she was written-off from Navy lists and used as a target. She was sunk on manoeuvres 27.5.1924.
