Project history: Modified Russian Sokol class. Silny was scuttled by own crew at Port Arthur 1.1.1905, next day fell into Japanese hands, raised 22.8.1905 and commissioned by IJN after repair. Reshitelny was interned by China at Chifu 11.8.1904 but next day was captured by Japanese and renamed Akatsuki.
Modernizations: None.
Naval service: Akatsuki was badly damaged and after repair renamed Yamabiko.
