Project history: Icebreaking hull with 5.0m molded depth; able to break 75cm ice by ramming and 55cm ice at 3kts continuous. Hullform is unusual tor an icebreaking hull in having a hard chine amidships and single-curvature hullform over most of the middle portion of the hull. A television surveillance camera is fitted atop the pilothouse.
