Project history: Large MTBs, supposed to be used as MTB leaders or seaworthy MTBs for joint operations with large combatants. They have appeared unsuccessful, and after trials of lead MTB project was redesigned, in particular, hull was strengthened. Building of Nos18-19 was suspended and orders on 26 more boats were cancelled. Already ready boats were applied basically for patrol and anti-submarine duties.
Modernizations: early 1944, 10-go: 2 engines were removed (1800hp, 23kts); + 2 - 450 TT, 4 DCT (8).
Naval service: No significant events
