Project history: Development of B type (Otsu-Gata) T1. They differed each other by as a hull material (steel on Ò23, Ò31, Ò32, Ò33 and Ò37 series or wooden on Ò25, Ò34, Ò35, Ò36, Ò38 and Ò39 series), and type and number of engines. Shortage of the latter has compelled to fit 238 boats with low-power (450hp) petrol engines. Since Ò31 series boats did not had cruising engines.
