Project history: Italian river gunboat Ermanno Carlotto was scuttled by crew 9.9.1943 in Shanghai, salvaged by Japanese and entered service as Narumi 15.10.1943.

Modernizations: 1945: disarmed.

Naval service: Narumi was damaged 15.1.1945 by US Army aircraft near Hankow, disarmed 1945 (guns were used ashore) and surrendered in August, 1945.
