Project history: In April, 1941, after capitulation of Yugoslavia, two former Yugoslavian submarines, Osvetnik and Smeli, were commissioned by Regia Marina, renamed Francesco Rismondo and Antonio Bajamonti respectively. In 1941 they passed repair in which course the armament was partially changed and CT form was changed.

Naval service: Francesco Rismondo was 18.9.1943 scuttled by Germans, Antonio Bajamonti was scuttled by own crew 9.9.1943.
