Project history: Ex-German destroyer leader transferred by reparations, commissioned 1.12.1924.
Modernizations: 1920 - 1924: - 4 x 1 - 105/42, 2 x 1 - 500 TT; + 1 x 2 - 120/45 Schneider-Canet-Armstrong 1918-19, 1 x 1 - 120/45 Schneider-Canet-Armstrong 1918, 2 x 1 - 76/40 Ansaldo 1917, 2 x 1 - 6.5/80, mine stowage increased to 29. Displacement was 1655 t (norm.) / 1756 t (full). Complement was 150.
1931: one boiler was removed; - 2 x 2 - 500 TT; + 2 x 2 - 450 TT
1932: Cesare Rossarol was armed with 1 x 2 - 120/45 Scheider-Canet-Armstrong 1918-19 only.
1935: armament consisted of 1 x 2 - 120/45 Schneider-Canet-Armstrong 1918-19, 1 x 1 - 120/45 Schneider-Canet-Armstrong 1918, 2 x 1 - 76/40 Ansaldo 1917, 2 x 1 - 6.5/80, 2 x 2 - 450 TT, 29 mines.
Naval service: In 1932-1935 Cesare Rossarol was used as test ship.
