Project history: Built under British design. Successful ships with good seaworthiness for their dimensions. Cassiopea and Climene in 1915-1917 were converted to fast minesweepers.

Modernizations: 1915, Cassiopea, Climene: - 1 x 1 - 47/40, 1 x 1 - 450 TT; + mechanical minesweeping gear (temporarily till 1918)

1917 - 1920, all were armed with 2 x 1 - 76/40 A1916, 1 x 1 - 13.2/76, 4 x 1 - 450 TT

1919 - 1920, some boats: - 2 x 1 - 450 TT; + 1 x 2 - 450 TT

Naval service: Centauro 5.11.1921 ran aground on rocks at coast of Turkey.
