Project history: The further development of Pegaso class. The decision on building of a series from 16 ships was accepted in the early 1941 for compensation of heavy losses in destroyers. Dimensions, in comparison with a prototype, were slightly increased for stability improvement, with the same purpose side oil fuel tanks were liquidated. In May, 1943 all were reclassified from torpedo boats to escort torpedo boats.
Modernizations: mid-1943, all completed and survived: + (4 - 5) x 1 - 20/70 Scotti-Isotta Fraschini 1939
