Project history: Type «Baglietto class 500, 1st series»: development of MAS424 which became a prototype of 1st series of "500" class. Under some data, already a number of boats of this series in addition to main Isotta-Fraschini engines were equipped by 2 80hp Alpha-Romeo petrol engines for cruising. Last boat of a series, MAS525 was steel-hulled instead of wooden sister-boats.
