Project history: MAS430 was further development of "12-ton" SVAN boat of WWI-era. At the expense of installation of much more powerful engines the speed was significantly increased. Anti-submarine armament was presented by five small 50kg DCs and hydrophone.
MAS432-436 belonged to slightly changed version of "SVAN 13-ton fast" type, named "SVAN 14-ton fast".
MAS437 belonged to "SVAN high-speed diesel" type, diesel-engined variant of "SVAN 14-ton fast" type. Because of installation of heavier diesels she was received a little bit more larger than petrol-engined boats, but in the speed practically has not lost.
Modernizations: 1938 - 1939, MAS433, 434: engines were replaced by Fiat ones
1940, MAS432 - 434, 437: - 2 x 1 - 6.5/115; + 1 x 1 - 13.2/76, 2 x 1 - 8.80.
Naval service: In 1946 MAS433 and MAS434 were transferred to Customs service.
