Project history: USCG cutter acquired in 1948 (between 1947 and 1948 mercantile Medina Ivrit). Sloop type, of exceptionally strong construction with icebreaker bows specially built for Bering Sea.

Modernizations: 1948: + 1 x 1 - 60/~12 mountain gun on deck

1949: - 1 x 1 - 60/~12

Naval service: She rammed an RN destroyer during her immigrant running days and had a 60mm mountain gun lashed to the deck during the 1948-49 war. Served in Israeli Navy as TS (mainmast and forward 76mm gun removed) and later as depot ship for MTBs.
