Project history: Similar to Equadorian Esmeralda with telescopic hangar and landing pad for helicopter at cost of 4 Otomat SSMs. They were completed in 1986 but delivery was cancelled due to Iran-Iraq war and later aggression against Kuwait. In May 2014 the order for extensive refit was signed and in 2017 both ships arrived to Iraq onboard of cargo vessel Eide Trader.
