Maximum cargo capacity is 1800t (inc 17 main battle tanks). First four ships have helicopter landing pads amidships and aft. The last two ships in the series include a larger hangar built into the superstructure and helicopter deck is one level above the main deck. All ships are fitted with davits for two LCVP landing craft. 516 and 517 have increased command facilities and can act as flagships and can carry three big AS 332 Super Puma helicopters.
