Project history: Former GDR fast medium landing ships of the 'Frosch 2' class built by VEB Peenewerft, Wolgast, to an indigenous East German design. Officially transferred to Indonesia 25 August 1993. Refitted in German yards prior to transfer, where all armament was removed, to be replaced later after delivery. Differ from 'Frosh 1' class by having 8t crane amidships and two cargo hatches. The bow ramp was retained to permit a beaching capability.

Modernizations: None.

Naval service: No significant events.
