Project history: These compact ships of small frigate type were ordered from the Netherlands n August 1975 and designed by NEVESBU which belonged to Rhine-Schelde-Verolme. Air-conditioned living spaces and NBC warfare citadel. Officially they are classed as corvettes. Nala differs from sisters having a helicopter facility and collapsible hangar for one small helicopter and Bofors 40mm guns abreast the hangar.
Modernizations: None.
Naval service: No significant events.
