Project history: Decommissioned from the Singapore Navy during September 2001 and transferred in 2002 for use as a patrol craft. Sophisticated multipurpose craft originally capable of performing mine-clearance route survey work, acting as a diving tender, or assisting in salvage operations. Carries a towed side-scan high-resolution sonar and has an underwater data logging system and precision navigation equipment. To assist divers, has a two-man decompression chamber and two high-pressure compressors. Carries a ten-man rigid inflatable dinghy with a 60hp engine, handled by a 1.5t crane. Designed with German assistance.

Naval service: No significant events.
