Project history: Submarines ordered in France in 1925. Loire-Simonot design; very similar to French submarines of Sirene 600t class. In comparison with Katsonis class structure of torpedo armament was changed, all TTs took places in a pressure hull. The arrangement of 102mm gun has been fulfilled lowered: on a deck in shielded barbette for stability improvement. Tactical designations were Y3-6.
Modernizations: None.
Naval service: Protefs was sunk 29.12.1940 by ramming of Italian torpedo boat Antares at coast of Albania. Glafkos was lost 4.4.1942 during raid of German and Italian bombers to Malta. Triton was sunk 16.11.1942 by German destroyer Hermes (former Greek Vassilefs Georgios) and submarine chaser UJ2102 in Aegean sea. Nirefs was stricken 3.5.1947, but broken up only in 1952.
