Project history: Revised version of the modified Osprey design; the design is also known as the "Hellenic 55" or Pyrpolitis class. Two units (with an unexercised option for a third) were ordered in 1989. An option exists for an additional two units of the class. Other sources indicate only 50 tons of fuel carried. Can carry 40 tons of fresh water. There are two RIB inspection boats aboard, handled by a 1.3t-capacity crane. The ships have a steel hull with aluminum alloy superstructure. Two pairs of Harpoon SSM launchers can be accommodated but have not been installed.

Modernizations: None.

Naval service: No significant events.
