Project history: Modified 'Hellenic 55' design, named 'Hellenic 56A', slightly larger with new electronics. Other sources indicate only 50 tons of fuel carried. Can carry 40 tons of fresh water. There are two RIB inspection boats aboard, handled by a 1.3t-capacity crane. The ships have a steel hull with aluminum alloy superstructure. Two pairs of Harpoon SSM launchers can be accommodated but have not been installed.

Modernizations: None.
