Project history: The 1999 contract included an order for three and an option to build four more in Greece. The initial trio cost about $324 million, with the contract including the transfer of two U.K. Hunt-class minehunters. P 72 and 73 were ordered in 2008. Steel hull with aluminum superstructure. One pair Vosper non-retractable fin stabilizers. Carry an RIB amidships handled by an electrohydraulic crane. Originally planned 2 533mm TTs were never really installed.
Modernizations: None.
Naval service: No significant events.
