Project history: British escort destroyers of Hunt class. Ships of 3rd series were transferred to Greece even before completion in 1942; Themistoklis, Kriti, Astings and Adrias were transferred after service in RN. Aigaion and Hastings were planned for transfer in April, 1944, but owing to revolt on Greek ships event 30.4.1944, their transfer was taken place only 21.5.1946.
Modernizations: 1942-1943, many: - type 286 radar; + type 291 radar
1943-1944, some: - type 271 radar; + type 272 radar
Naval service: Adrias was hard damaged 22.10.1943 on mines laid by German minelayers Drache and Bulgaria off island Kalymnos; she was never repaired and in 1945 was returned to UK.
