Project history: Former Austro-Hungarian torpedo boats of 250t type. In 1920, at division of Austro-Hungarian fleet, Greece received three ships of 2nd series (92F, 94F, 95F) and as much boats of 3rd series (98M, 99M, 100M). Latter boats differed by hull form with lengthened forecastle, bigger bow flare and narrower stern. Structure of armament of these ships did not differ from other series, but fwd TT was installed on forecastle deck. On trials all torpedo boats exceeded contract speed, fastest 98M reached 30.6kts, but to the Second World War beginning real speed was about 20kts.
Modernizations: 1930s, all: - 1 x 1 - 66/27, 2 x 2 - 450 TT; + 1 x 1 - 37/80 SK C/30, 2 x 1 - 533 TT
Naval service: Kios and Kydoniai were sunk by German aircraft respectively 23.4.1941 in Bay of Athens and 26.4.1941 at S coast of Morea. Kyzikos to beginning of German invasion was under repair at Salamin, where was scuttled 25.4.1941.
