Project history: An order for six MTBs was placed with Mandal, Norway in 1965. These were identical with the Norwegian Tjeid (improved Nasty) class except that they have 2-40mm in place of the Norwegian boats 1-40mm and 1-20mm. These were the first new warships to be built for Greece since the 1930s. Iniohos was discarded in 1972, and the remainder, renumbered P 196-P 200 respectively, were deleted in 1983.

Modernizations: 1985, all survived: diesels were replaced by 2 MTU 12V331 TC83 (3060hp, 40kts); - 1 x 1 - 40/70; + 1 x 1 - 20/70 Mk 10

1989, Andromeda, Kyknos, Pigasos and Toxotis: - 4 - 533 TT

Naval service: All were deleted in 1983 but Andromeda, Kyknos, Pigasos and Toxotis were re-engined and refurbished to re-enter service in 1989.
