Project history: Small central battery ship with a complete belt.

Ship protection: Iron armour protected the belt (178mm amidships and 114mm at ship ends). Battery was closed by 152mm sides and 25mm deck.

Modernizations: 1880s: - 2 x 1 - 229/14; + 2 x 1 - 209/20 RK L/22 C/75

1897: re-engined (VTE, 14kts); - 2 x 1 - 95/16; + 1 x 1 - 149/27 RK L/30 C/83, 9 MGs

Naval service: Vasilefs Georgios served as TS since early 1900s.
