Project history: The development of type 1935 directed on raise of adaptability to build them. Had more light hull shared on smaller number of compartments, a little bigger endurance and strengthened armament, but as a whole remained same unsuccessful.

Naval service: T15 was lost 13.12.1943 during Allied air raid to Kiel. T16 was damaged 21.2.1944 on mine at Memel and repaired 6 months, she was damaged by British aircraft in Kattegat 10.4.1945 and stricken 13.4.1945. T18 was sunk 17.9.1944 by Soviet bomber A-20 at Tallinn. T13 was sunk 10.4.1945 by British aircraft in Kattegat. T21 was scuttled in Skagerrack 16.12.1946.
On reparations T17 was transferred to the USSR as Poryvisty. T14 and T20 in 1946 were transferred to France as Dompaire and Baccarat. T19 in 1948 was sold to Denmark and BU in 1951.
