Project history: The original ships which do not have analogues in other navies. They were developed as some kind of high-endurance MTBs that predetermined the requirement of a low outline profile and extremely unbalanced armament (6 TTs at one 105mm gun). Gun had an elevation angle 50° and was fitted on stern, for usage at withdrawal after sudden torpedo attacks. Ships were equipped with high parameters steam machinery with Wagner boilers (70atm, 460°C). They have appeared low seaworthy, and because of an overload made no more than 34.5kts. On the direct assignment they practically were not used.

Naval service: T3 was sunk 18.9.1940 at Le Havre by British aircraft, salvaged in January, 1941 and commissioned again 12.12.1943. T6 was lost 7.10.1940 on British mines at coast of Scotland. T2 and T7 were lost 29.7.1944 during raid of American bombers to Bremen, salvaged 27.9.1944 and 25.10.1944 respectively, but were not repaired. T10 was sunk 18.12.1944 by British bombers at Danzig. T3 and T5 were lost 14.3.1945 in the Danzig Bight on the mines, laid by Soviet submarine L-21. T1 was lost 10.4.1945 during air raid to Kiel. T8 and T9 were damaged 3.5.1945 by British aircraft in Kiel Bight and scuttled by crews.
T4 in 1948 was sold to Denmark and BU in 1951. Ò11 in 1946 was transferred to France as Bir Hakeim. T12 was transferred on reparations to the USSR as Podvizhny.
