Project history: Former Italian submarine Comandante Capellini, 10.9.1943 captured by Japanese at Singapore and 6.12.1943 transferred to Kriegsmarine.
Modernizations: 1944: artillery consisted of 1 x 2 - 20/65 C/38.; + FuMO 30 radar, FuMB 3 Bali, FuMB 6 Palau ECM suites
Naval service: UIT24 6.5.1945 captured by Japanese at Kobe after capitulation of Germany, and entered Japanese service as I503; surrendered and scuttled by Allies 15.4.1946.
