Project history: Type 202 were originally built in an endeavour to develop a Type on this displacement. They made extensive trials, first with naval crews, and later civilian. They were ordered in February 1959. Friedrich Schürer had a Kort jet on her vertical rudder. Hopes for them were not realized and they were soon decommissioned and scrapped.

Modernizations: None.
