Project history: This curious little schooner-rigged, iron-hulled gunboat was intended to be an anti-pirate vessel for China, but, perhaps because she was a bad seaboat, never left German waters.
Modernizations: None.
Naval service: She was used as a mining instruction ship. She was sold as a coal barge in 1913, and broken up in 1926.
