Project history: Former Danish coast defence battleship. 28.8.1943 at attempt to escape to Sweden she was damaged by German aircraft and ran ashore in Kattegat. In October, 1943 she was salvaged by German wreckers, repaired and in September, 1944 entered service under German flag as gunnery training ship Nordland. Besides 200 crew members she can take up to 400 cadets.
Ship protection: Flat 55mm armoured deck was connected with upper edge of 195mm main belt. CT had 170mm sides and 40mm roof.
Modernizations: None.
Naval service: Nordland 3.5.1945 was sunk by British aircraft at Eckernförde. In 1952 she was raised and BU.
