Project history: Ordered in 1977 to operate three-apiece with the Type 351 control ships. Beginning in 1999, were converted to work with the Type 352 conversion control ships. Essentiallythey are remote-controlled, self-propelled magnetic minesweeping solenoids with all machinery highly shock-protected. Also able to stream two sets Type SDG-21 Oropesa mechanical minesweeping gear.
