Project history: Former Danish minesweepers Søløven, Søridderen, Søhesten and Søhunden, captured in Copenhagen 28.8.1943. Two ships of the same class, Søbjørnen and Søulven, have received German numbers MA2 and 3, but were never commissioned.

Modernizations: None.

Naval service: MA5 was damaged by Soviet mine and repaired for Danish navy in 1946. In 1945 all ships were returned to Denmark.
