Project history: These Type 1914 fleet minesweepers were seaworthy boats which could make 13kts with sweeping gear deployed. A significant feature of the type was the slight whaleback forecastle.

Modernizations: 1915-1916, all survived: - 1 x 5 - 37/20; + 1 x 1 - 88/27 SK L/30 C/89

Naval service: M6 was mined 31.7.1918 in the North Sea. M9 was mined 18.6.1917 in the North Sea. M11 was mined 28.12.1917 in the North Sea. M12 was mined 27.7.1916 in the North Sea. M14 was mined 16.5.1917 in the North Sea. M15 was mined 30.3.1917 in the North Sea. M16 was mined 21.3.1917 in the North Sea. M22 was mined 14.10.1918 in the North Sea.
